Other people grow on you, and grow fond of you, not the other way around. You are always yourself, and you are definite.

It's a new year (some days ago). Wonder what has been stored for me. Hopefully, more good stuffs than bad stuffs. =)
My new year resolutions:
1) Waking up by 9am everyday.. To-date, it has yet come true. JY bah
2) Master the game of DOTA. then i will understand, what so attractive about it.
3) HD throughout...! I had it once, i will get it twice and thrice
4) Keep my things in place
5) be more sensitive
6) Have more friends
7) be more optimistic

Temptations

The day since we are borned, we are faced with many temptions. When we are young, our elders keep reminding us not to follow any strangers or take the candies they offered. The colourful and 'scumptious- looking' candies are the temptations.

Temptations comes in many form. They can be tangible materials such as properties or money. They can also be non physical like fame and authority. However, such temptions may have dire consequences. Such consequences may happen in the near future or in the long run. We do not know. As kids, we love ice cream. Tempted by the cold savoury sensation, we had too many scoops and thus ended up 'camping' in the toilet. As days passed, temptations increases. In our studies days, there were times when we had gone crazy over computer games, serial dramas and etc. As a result, our studies suffered. When we steped upon the complicated society, we are overwhelmed by greed. We yearned for the power and fame. But for everything we gotten, there is a price to pay. Some lessons are just too costly and our future is ruined in just that single step we had taken.

Some people are a bit wiser. Once bitten, twice shy and they never get into the sane troubles again There are also some stubborn ones who refused to acknowlege that those were tempations. They believe that what they are doing is right and they will get to their ultimate goal. Perhaps they will reach their target but that good scene will never last long. Consequences will still find them. When facing consequences, the ones suffering are not only people who have fallen into the honey trap. There are friends and family as well. Who will spare a thought for them? what will happen to them?

When facing temptations, one should really consider if such good deal does exist in the world. Pros and cons must be weigh in order to make a better decision. What is needed to scarifice? Will the scarifice be worthwhile? what is really important to you? Never be myopic. Look far! when such thoughts are sorted, the candies will unwrap itself and one will see the ugly truth.
