It's finally the last day of the year.... 31st of December.... Last day...
Looking back, orientation just seemed to be yesterday. This year had been quite a busy year. My life just revolves around a few areas and sometimes i do hope for more time. This year has been passing by so fast. Each day started with school, waking up at 6 and sometimes, especially the EOY times, could only return home at 8+, 9+, 10+. Upon returning home, it was either sleep time or to finish up some work. In a nice way, i had a very routined life but in another way, life seems to be rather boring.

The bad times of the year will be times rushing for the EOY montage... Things were not really organized and things were quite in a rush. Another hard times are the days waiting to appeal out of SRJC. I have not regretted the choice. The good thing of the year is that I've found someone to share my love. =D

Perhaps i should start thinking of my new year resolutions...
To be a better person by being a better friend, a better daughter, a better sister, a better girlfriend? Hmm... Haha!
Next year will be A level year, hence it will be very important. Thus, i hope to at least pass every test and complete the homework on time. Perhaps i should really spend much more time on my studies especially maths and biology...

In just another 2 days to school reopens. One bad thing is have not finish the homework. ARGH!!! Haha! The Eagles reflection deadline is today but i haven't even complete 33.33% . Looks like i'll only finish it when school reopens. Upon going back to school, it will be orientation again. Another busy time.

Let's bury all the unhappiness together with 2007 and awaits for a new year to start afresh. Happy new year! Wishing everyone t to have a good year ahead! =D

Yea! Finally the performance was over. Though the X’mas part was not a very big event, it went on very smoothly and it was a success. 3 cheers for T89 (28,30,31) and Mr. lee. Haha! We had our daily practices for the past two weeks and nothing has gone to waste.

I was involved mainly in the dance. The dance was some hip hop or techno dance which is accompanied by some very fast Korean music. I am not a very sporty person myself and my limbs just do not seem to coordinate with my brain and eyes. Hence when I first started dancing, I am the one with the same leg and same hand up or I always go into the opposite direction that other goes. After some long practices I finally leant my steps well but I do have a black out at the high school musical – wild cats part.

I was also involved in skit as well. We out up a skit titled “A Christmas carol” telling story how scrooge understands the meaning of Christmas. My role is a little kid, Topper. A rather annoying and impatient kid who does not wait for his turn. My dad was Fred, played by rishi, and mrs fred played by meixiu. My role was rather an easy one with lines that is only a word or two, but my reaction has to be fast. Haha!

The best thing was the fun dance. For the practices we actually played the music 2 times or more faster and everyone get high by just dancing to it. Fun dance was so much easier to learn and it was really fun. Haha! Those who performed today will get double the Cip hours, hence for those who came at 9 today, had 28 hours of CIP. That’s kind of crazy.

2 days ago, I just lost my ezlink and 8 bucks of cash without knowing how and why. It like, I went to school taking 105 and alight at CJ bus stop. Then we changed bus to MeiXiu house and before I got up the bus, I lost my card!!!! Hence I thought I may have dropped it on the bus. Upon reaching her house, I immediately called Jurong east Interchange but till today I heard no news of my card. Thus in the end, I owe s quite a few people money, such as lunch bill and transport fees. Then today, I broke my hair clip and my hair is in a mess especially during the dance.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and I can finally have a rest before I start on my work again. My darling is flying off in a 5am flight to HomgKong. I don’t know hen will he be back or be back by what time because he don’t know also. But I thing I know, I will miss him.

It's another day to start with... the weather isn't that good and thunders are rumbling just like any monsoon season. The rain will just seem to continue. Well, exco meeting and dance crash today. Supposed to be at 10 am for both, and now is 0953 and there is still hardly any single soul around. haha! probably i am too early again. ... ... ... If exco meeting is going to be some dilly dally and beat about the bush kind, i am going to leave the room for dance. I had a very full breakfast just5 now. So so full... haha! Bye!

A letter to Santa

Hellos Santa!
Time flies and one year is going to pass and here i am writing my Xmas letter. I know that i may not have been a good girl, but i hope i am not on your naughty list. I promise to improve myself. =)
These are some of the few items i hope to have and i have categorized them.

For the material wants:
  • 1Gb MP3 ( what i have now is only 128mb, the songs that are able to be contained inside are quite little)
  • A camera (whether it is compact or SLR, i don't mind)
  • A new HP ( best with mp3 player, radio with a 5 mega pixel camera)
  • A laptop with wireless connection ( so i don have to compete with my brother)
  • A crumpler bag
  • More soft toys ( the bigger and cuter the better)
For the things that is needed but not exactly
  • Campbell biology textbook 5th or 6th edition
  • A DVD rom for my compter
  • A web camera
  • Personalized key chain
  • More clothes in the wardrobe ( my wardrobe needs a revamp)
  • A watch ( my current watch is scratched, so heart pain)
For the dream things ( things i know i could never have)
  • A pet ( not fish)
  • A room of my own
  • Less stressed (i need to de-stress!)
  • Less worries
  • Lesser workload
  • More slacking time
  • Higher IQ and EQ
  • To have more quality time spent
Haha! Looks like i am a greedy girl, but all men have their wants. I know that this letter may not even reach out to you, but just let this be a channel perhaps for me to express what i wanted and probably due to the restraints that I've now, i could not have them. Hmmm.... you will be very busy this festive season, but looking at the size you have, please do cut down the amount of hot chocolate and the candies you're taking. =) Children will need you every year. Send my regards to the elves as well. Jia You bah!

Smile Always
ZivCharles

As said in my previous post, since there were only Meixiu and me, we decided to go for our brunch. We were deciding between town or tpy, just then we realised that we needed to spend quite a few hours before we go for cip, and thus we went to town.

Indeed it was still drizzling and we went to Far East and ate mix and match rice. We stayed there for at least more than 40 minutes, chatting and eating. Haha! Then we sort of went shopping since it is still very early. I am so happy that i got myself an eeyore. So Blue, so cute, so smooth, so innocent looking, so nice to hug. It is only at 6 bucks in takashimaya (UP $14.90) Haha! What a good buy. Though the eeyore i get doesn't have ab tail.... But still, i love it! The Que Xian Mei ( the beauty with flaws). Actually, in reality, nothing is ever perfect. The next day i went back to taka and found, the only one that has no ribbbon is mine. Isn't mine the special one? Probably that's is why everyone is made so differently. Even identical twins may look alike, their personality is different. Everyone is special.

We walked all the way from orchard to dohby ghuat and took a bus to Whampoa. As usual, we did the normal house visit. One of the visits i went to is very unusual. The uncle in the house told us that he was a Christian, but then, there was a goddess of mercy in the living room. I think that the uncle had saw me staring at the statue and told us that his wife is a Buddhist. He added that isn't that very sad when both of them has different religions. Probably, their love is strong enough and overcome the religion barrier that is why they stayed as man and wife for so long.

After the house visit, we saw a truck "toys on wheels" and were very curious about it. Hence Joanne, Darren and I sat down by the side watching. As the truck open up, it is full of toys that any children will want. Eventually, we went to help them out, bring little kids up the truck to choose their presents.

In the process, you can actually know that some children choose the presents not because that were what they would like to have, but rather what the parents would like to have. Parents do know the price of the toys on the truck but children don't. Children will choose what they like, but parents will choose what the most expensive item. I'm thinking, aren't the presents for the kid, if the kid likes it, why not let them have it. A lot of parents do think they knows what is the best for the children, but at times this is not truth. What they have arranged for the kids may not be what they wants and both sides. Parents do need to know that children actually need and what they really wants, or else the things that they do for them, in the name of : this is of your own good, will go down to waste.

Each kid is supposed to have 1 gift only, but some of them went up 3 or 4 times with several excuses to take more. Perhaps they were to young to know that it will be good to stay contented and leave some for the others behind. Whampoa is not the only place, they will still be going to places such as Yishun after that. Give others a chance to have to have the joy as well.

Well, to me, i think that this giving out of gift is so much more meaningful than house visit. At the very least, i can see the results of the help i lend and i am able to reach out to them. To the old folks, there seems to be barrier, and they won't accept us that easily probably due to the harsh past they have. Haiz.... Anyway, i felt happy today.

What a day to start with...
It has been raining the whole morning and though i can't see it now, i bet it is still drizzling. It has been raining fr the past few days and the rain seems to have made people more depressed. Due to the cold weather, quite a number of people are falling sick too. I feel so sleepy now, can't wait to get to my bed. Last night was also a horrible night when both flu and sighness kicked in. It wasn't a well rested nigtht. It just seems that fro the past few days, there is something bothering me which also causes me to take a very long time before i can get to sleep. Hmm.... i still thinking what it is....

I am currently in school, supposed to have dance practice. Well, Joanne and Eirene will not be coming and Mei Xue just came. Yahui and SuYi was no where in sight. Haha! Bye bye!

After coming back from all the activities, it is back to my boring dull routine day. The next day i came back from eagles, i went back to school for SVA thingy and finally we managed just to take one take and using it to edit le. Previously, Eileen and i had filmed a copy and that took us 2 hours as we had to set up the lightings which we were unfamiliar and doing colour testing.

I named the team Code Red and Eileen was appointed the leader. The video was an advertisement to raise AIDS awareness and prevention is better than cure. We have shot red ink diffusing into the water and the effects look really nice. This was the also the shortest video i ever shot and edited. Even editing only took about an hour or less. The final product was about 35sec long.

After the production we had to get brother paul to sign our competition application form. Unfortunately, he was away and luckily he did come back with Bro Thomas ( from Rome) and so finally it was signed. The last thing we had to do was to deliver it to ETD manually on Monday morning.

As there was renovations in the staffroom, somehow the water sewage system was blocked by leaves and due to the torrential rains, the water exploded from the roof. Poor Mr lee, his table was the worst hit and everything on the table top, including external hard drive, notes that was kept since his jc years, 200 bucks worth jacket. Eileen and I had a chance to have a walk in the staffroom disaster area and in there was a few big fans blowing the things dry and on the fan, it wrote "disaster restoration". Looks like mr lee gonna have some hard time.

I love my fluffpet, a facebook application, now. It just look so nice filled with X'mas spirits. Probably, it is time to write a letter to Santa and hopefully Santa will fulfill my wishes.

Yea! Back from Kahang le. In kahang everything is organic. Organic brown rice, organic duck, organic vegetable, organic fishes, organic dragon fruit and so we got organic meals for the 6 days we were there.

The weather there is kind of funny. The wind there blew from 7am to 7pm and for the rest of the time, there was not wind at all. If it rains, it either rains for a few minutes or it will rain fro hours non stop. I was so afraid that we may be trap in flood as the 5th and last day was raining throughout.

There were a lot of stories in Kahang that i wish to say, however i do not know how to start. If i start from day 1, then probably, you will be reading blog post of more than a few thousand words long.

In this trip, i know that i belong to water. There is a quiz which we takes and see which of the following element we belong to and which element (earth, air, water, fire) is the strongest and weakest. Water are the people that put other before himself. However, he maybe too nice and softhearted and get pushover at a times. The next element is fire. Fire people are the people who are always enthusiastic and will bring fun to others. However, they will get distracted to easily. Following next is air. Air people are very particular about accuracy and they are the precise people and earth is the firm people.

As water took over for the past 2 days as it rain like hell, there were a lot of insects taking shelter. We abandoned our tents on the 5th day because most people tents were flooded. As we unpitched the tents today, there were a lot of creepy crawlies. eileen and my tent is on a higher ground level and unfortunately there was a ants' nest a few a steps away from our tents. Since their original nest was in water they started coming towards our tents and the ants were very nice to build a dike around our tent. They are also very nice to build their new nest under our tents. So as we unpitched, we have to swipe away all the ants and watch where we are stepping on. Not only we have ants as visitors, we have visitors of size 1mm to about 8 cm.

Then at the last night, the whole camp blackout. What a new experience indeed. It is really very dark that one cannot see their hands. As we were trapped in the dark, i felt so unsecured. I felt lost. I suddenly don;t know what is around me and fluttering of insects can be heard. in kahang, the insect can go easily up to 10cm or so. For the first time, i am really annoyed by insects and i juts hope that they don;t come near me. One could easily says that we could switch on the torch light. However, switching on the torch light, more insects will come to you as they are attracted to light. It was really the moments of silence and total darkness.

In this trip, it was my first time that i felt homesick as i missed the ones around me. I never had that kind of feeling before and this felt awfully terrible. This trip has also given me a tanner skin and on my face, there is a rim of lighter skin tone where my spec frame is. Hence i looked like a swimmer just that the skin around the eyes are are tanned as well. The weather there is either super hot or super cold if one is in the open space. I'm just so glad to be back in Singapore. =)

Coming back to Singapore also meaning back to work. I still have to return to school tomorrow and start SVA from scratch and the dateline is on the 8th of Dec which means i only have one day to complete since school is not going to opened on Saturday. I bet tomorrow will be an ultra busy day.
