Hmmm... In the office now. Being stuck here is not a nice thing. I want to be outside enjoying some fresh air and sunshine.
For the past few days, i am really busy. Either my hands are busy with the files or my legs are busy running up and down. For the whole, i almost OT everyday till about 9 plus. If not for the sake of money, i probably wouldn't be here. Ot rate is 1.5 of the normal rates. For all days, i drift to the office in the morning and drift back home at night. For someone who has never worked, and the start of work is such long hours, it is really a toil on the body. Perhaps due to work, my mind just like to blank out and space out. It is too tired.
I was busy with the preparations for the files. It was an easy but a troublesome job. To slot in the paper pieces by pieces in the required order and if there is any changes to it, i need to take out and replaced them again. I remembered that one price list is changed 3 times. When i got my job on Monday, i thought i have 4 days to prepare the files. But, when i was almost leaving, my manager told me that they need the file by the next day evening. Bomb fell. Why didn't my colleague tell me the deadline when she was telling me all the instructions for the file. I didn't have any choice but to work OT till it was past 9 without dinner. So hungry... Hence, the files was my main job scope for the next day too, with the exceptions of photocopying pieces of papers for the 20 ring files with bout 60-70 double sided pages... Argh.... i totally hate last minute stuffs when such things can be prepared in advance.
Finally, the files are all rushed out on time for them to use on the meeting. But that evening they had their meeting, I OT to mass produce the flyers that are in numbers of hundred. As the meeting was at dinner time, they called in pizza and there are more than sufficient and hence i help myself to a few slices. It was Rite pizza. The wasabi seafood one was very nice. I am not a fan of wasabi, but the taste isn't that overwhelming. It's nice to be in combination with the pizza fillings.
Though the files was supposed to be done on Tuesday, but things just keep changing and coming in. Hence, the files are stuck with me till the time they are sent to the expo by the transporter. In these few days, i have made friends with 2 photocopier, one upstairs and the one on the same level. But having me as their friend is the most unfortunate thing for them. Perhaps they have hated me to the core. Lol. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Due to the bulk and last minutes stuffs, i have no choice but to push them to their limits. Often when i visit them for the next print job, i found myself talking to them, telling them not to give up, encouraging and coaxing them. At that moment, i am probably a mentally illed one. But i really hope that they do not died on me. Still, they have died.
Today is the only day that is much more decent. Though i still need to run up and down form this photocopier to that, i still have time to get a breather and space out a little bit. The feeling of being free is just so nice. But if i have a choice to be free or busy. I would rather be a busy one. I don want to waste the time. Life is just so short. There are just too many things to do and it is just up to me if i wanna do it.
On Wednesday, i went to Jurong Point. I think work has captured my soul away that make me so stupid. From raffles place, i could either take the green line or red line. Instead of choosing the short green one, i took the red one. i only realised it when i was in orchard. hence i got down and changed the train. comparing the red to the green, the red has doubled the stops than the green. Taking the green line will only take one 23 min to reach Jurong East while the red will take 53 minutes. Argh... Then i also realise that Jurong point is not at Jurong East station. It was at Boon Lay... zzz... Anyway, while travelling to boon lay, i saw a rainbow. It just look very very big. But when i got down from the MRT, it looks jus so far, but nonetheless, it is still a full rainbow stretching across the sky. I like rainbow =)

For the first time of my life, I've tried roller skating. Though by today, i still cannot skate, the experience itself was very good. Something new for me to try. It just looked so simple for people to skate through the wind, but I'm still like a little ducky. One hour of skating really tires me out. I think i really have to build up my stamina. Though it is not an easy task but i look forward to another session of skating. I'm determined to learn and control the wheels instead of them controlling me. After i'm out of the wheels, i have the feeling that i am still wobbling. But not long later, i could finally feel the ground. So stable and nice. i have never realize that the feel of ground just right under the feet can be so so good. Probbaly that's why they always say we should 脚踏实地的做人。
Dinner was at Carl's junior. Then i realise not all burgers at Carl's Jr are as big as the face. Though it is not that big, i still couldn't finish my meal... Poor little fries. Sorry that you(fries) can't do your job to give me the calories. Haha. >.<
After the dinner, we took a stroll back to where we came from. By walking, it has to takes us bout 20-30 mins? We went up to a post bout 2 or 2.5 levels above the ground. It just feel like a picture taken by an wide angle camera. The railings are almost covered by vandalisation. The one that dated back furthest was in 1978. it is about some 10 years older than me. What is scribbled or craved at the railings are usually "XX loves YY , 1980". That spot must be some good spot for dating in the past. Haha. On there, many promises are scribbled too, like how couples vowed to love each other till death apart. I started asking myself, how many of those promises are real and how many of those couples have taken the vow of marriage and stay together till now. Haha.
Hmm... have i mentioned "we"? The other party is Alex. Glad to have a friend like him that will be my tour guide round singapore. Haha. Thanks alex! =)
The last time i went to east coast was probably last year during orientation. I like the sun, the sea and the wind. Just yesterday, i went to the botanic garden and the last time i went to was about some 8 to 10 years ago? I really cannot remember. Different parts of the garden was filled with different flower scent. Nice to be out of the urban city. It was a very nice trip except that walking with jeans are a lil heavy and i have blister in my sole in the end. I like such places. For a very long time, i've been wanting to go to the HSBC treetop walk, but till now, i haven't been there yet.
Monday, i will be working again, but only for 4 days. i guessed that i will be the one arranging and packing the files because previously i emptied out the contents. It's time for the return of the SK Warrior. SK warrior is important to the world. He is the one picking up the pieces, doing long hours of job that nobody does. He just have to much to be said. Hence, let's salute to him =)

It has been another day, but today was a fun day thanks to jon, andre and tim. Though i have to wait for the 3 guys, this outing is worthwhile.
First we went to play pool at paradiz centre. I haven't touch the pool stick for a almost a year le, hence my skills are very very rusty. The 3 guys took turns to pair up with me, but none of them can break the curse - whoever is in my team it will be a sure lost game. Truth enough for the 9 games that we played, i never win a game. In viwawa the tenth game that one loses consecutively get an award. Perhaps they should give me one too. Haha. The best game is when andre shoot 4 balls in following one another and the black ball consecutively. That game only last for 5-10 mins.
While waiting for Yahui's reply to join us for dinner, we went to lan shop playing left for dead. That game was very fun. It was my first time playing lan. Also for the first time, i felt so hyped up while playing computer. The thrill, the fun and i think friends is the X factor that make the game so enjoyable. For a person like me that don't play shooting game, i have enjoyed myself thoroughly. Basically, the game is about shooting zombies. the zombies don't come in one or two but in waves. When u see them, you jus shoot until u have to reload. Haha. I died frequently and need my team mates to rescue me from the zombies. If there's a liablity reward, i am sure to get it. Haha. here i am rotting in front of the computer again because i have nothing to do. Right now i am having hiccups... It is very bad... =(
I guess for the next few days, i would be pretty busy.
Thursday, if possible join Tim and the rest for pool... I think it wouldn't cost that much to play on week day.
Then on Friday, i need to be a cake courier to deliver a cake from a friend of mine to another. It seems pretty far. From my house to anchor point and to dunearn road. But i have figured out that i could take 93. Just hope that i won't go missing. =)
As for Saturday, I'm going to learn roller skating. Just hope that i won't have too many injuries by the end of the day. Haha.

For the past few day, I've been volunteering at SGH. Honestly, for the 1st day, i felt that it is very screwed up, because I'm lost at what's going on, and I've nobody who i can talk to keep in contact with.
My job scope was to do survey in the morning and wind mills in the noon.
For the survey, i am stationed at the shuttle bus stop, counting how many people alight, board, and waiting for each bus. It was really boring and i had to do it for 2 shifts, with each shift shift lasting for 2 hours. Glad enough, i have ants to accompany me. The ants keep me entertained with their ants behaviours.
Mainly there are 3 species of ants with 3 different sizes. the largest of them all is the red ants. Compared to the smallest ants, they are 3 to 4 times bigger than them. Also there is the medium sized black ants. The red ants have powerful jaws that was almost as big as their head. Hence i have to defend myself against them. My weapon is my blue pen with a pointed tip. Apparently when they came close to me, i point my pen towards them. First, they showed me signs of aggression by lifting up their butt saying that they are ready to fight. but the next moment, they ran away, feeling scared. It's a lucky thing taht they never ask for help, or else i will be in deep shit. the ants bites are usually poisonous and if one hits them dead, the body liquid will probably make one itch like hell. Hence on the first day, i concluded that are not some brave souls after all.
On the second day, the ants was kinda jumpy. At the end of the day, i concluded their behaviour. was due to the rain. Perhaps that may be the reason. i was kind enough to give them some water. Hence i make a little puddle of water for them. Some drank, some felt the difference and ran away... To me, they have no sense of curiosity. They look pretty cute while they' re drinking water. As they have long legs, they will have to bow down to drink water. It jus looked like giraffe drinking water. Zzz... i"ve also discovered another thing about them. to a certain extent, they remind me of my hamsters, because they like to clean themselves. After drink water, they will clean tehir front legs. If my pen touches them, they will probably feel as if some alien stuffs have touched them. After running for a safe distance, they will clean the parts which the pen has touched them. that reminds me of the cleaner robot in Wall E.
On the 3rd day, i gave them some bread crumbs of different sizes. It was only an hour later then the red ants discovered the food. Apparently they show very little interest to it. They did not carry it back to their camp. In fact, they have also labeled the food as foreign particles. They will clean themselves after touching it and to an extent they probably you can imagine them saying 'pui' in a disgusted manner... The good show begins later.... After i come back from lunch, the small ants have crowded around the food... Apparently, the red ants wasn't happy with it. When they realized that the small ants have crowded around the food, they attacked them. hence the small ants will run away, but they never give up. in fact from my observation, they seem to have a better communication system than the red ants. The red ants are just selfish. They don eat the food and they don allow others to touch the food. Or perhaps they are just guarding their territories. The black ants are the sneaky ones. in the middle of the war between the red and small ants, they will take the chance to steal the food. Haha...
it's the end of the ants story. Thanks to my mp3, my life while surveying can get by easier.
As for the windmill...
The venue is an open shop house. It is totally empty with cement floor with no electrical plugs. hence it was just the walls and the opened gates. the gate (door) have to be opened or else i'll be probably be microwave inside. Doing the wind mill is a simple task. but repeatedly doing for many times and stuck alone it is not that fun. Occasionally, some public will pop their head in and have a good look out of curiosity. But i think when the wind mills are put in the garden, the sight will be magnificant. =)

Hmmm.... I've been rotting at home for quite a few days. It is time for me to enrich myself or get another job. Perhaps i should go to the library on Monday. My mind is kinda blank now...

At this time, i am in the office but from tommorrow onwards, probably i will be my bed, because i am out of job. =) Today, i forget to bring my jacket and my office has a nick of being a North Pole, hence my hands are cold and my nose is blocked.
Reflecting my days in office, it was quite an office experience. When i first came, it was the hot season of Legend as it was sailing the ports of southeast asia. In addition, it was still the december school holidays. Hence it was very busy. The phones in the office never stop ringing. It was very irritating because i have a phone at my table yet i can't pick it up. Hence it just rang and rang non stop.
But as the days go by, the phone call are decreasing... Now it's quiet and peaceful. Though being a part timer is similar to a SK warrior, i learnt quite some things from just hearing and observing. As it is an American cruise line, 18 is still a minion and one still need his/her parents, not just any aunts or uncles, to accompany one on board. Office politics is a problem. The office is small but yet it is obvious. Even i can feel the tension.
Now i have to decide what am i supposed to do with my later days. Hopefully there are vacancy for relief teaching. I want to try out teaching chinese. Others subjects are alright too, probably with the exception of English because i know where i stand...
While i am in the office, the someone is outta in the jungle playing hide and seek with his enemy and losing the luxury of proper baisc necessities. Just hope that he is all well and fine. May he bring me out for fun on weekends and have a proper V day with me.
