Xmas

Today is Xmas and i don't know what to write. As usual, in my stocking, there are sweets but this year i have a log cake because my cousins bought a cake too big.

Dear Santa,
You must have a very busy night that you could not take out a few minutes to visit me. It's okay, perhaps you'll visit me next year. May you have a good rest.

Christmas Eve

Today is Christmas Eve and i'm very bored at home. The weather is very cold today and droughts keep blowing into the house making my goose pimples stand. "Br...."

Dear santa,

I know writing to you on X'mas Eve is a bit too late or maybe too rush for you. Since young, I've heard a lot of Christmas stories about you, and you even appeared on TV. You're such a popular guy. The image of you is a plump old man, full of thick white beard, wearing a suit of red, riding on the sledge of reindeers and diving down into chimney of people, putting presents in socks or under the Christmas tree. Though i knew that it's always the adults trying to be you, i always believe in you. Adults are just helping you to lighten your burden

I know that i am not a very nice kid. I just hope that you will not give me charcoal. I don't mind that the present is the cheap one or it is just a common one that you can find it anywhere. I just want a present, regardless of what it is, to experience the joy of Christmas. Well, in case you change your mind and wants to give me something that i wish for, this is my wish list.

1) a live pet that can jump around and can be touched ( no fish please)
2) a complete new set of computer ( my com is too laggy)
3) a nice new mobile phone perhaps or a digital camera with as many mega pixel as possible.

I know that these may sound too expensive or perhaps your budget is tight. For low budget, this is the next wish list.
1) a cheaper pet ( no fish)
2) A 512 ram graphic card
3) A big , 'hugable' soft toy?
That's it. Thanks! I hope that i am not too greedy.

Well Santa, i guess it's time that you will have to go on diet and have more exercise. I guess you're heavily over-weight and that is so unhealthy. I bet that that you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or maybe diabetes. Don't eat too much sweet, oily and salty food. They're bad for your body. Do take care. The world of kids are waiting for you and you're their hope. Thanks! Bye! Merry X'mas!

Thanks CJC

Monday was the beginning of another chapter of Ms Audrey Tan journey when she becomes Mrs Wong. The wedding was held at a catholic church ( Church of the Risen Christ). In the ceremony of the wedding, there's a lot of praying and singing. After the wedding, i sms yh and knew that they were going to appeal to CJC ( Catholic Junior College). At the time, it's either i went for a buffet lunch at Fullerton Hotel or went for the appeal. I'm glad that i did not made the wrong choice.

Reaching the MRT, i parted way with Ade they all, went home, got a change of clothes and i went out again. I only got a sandwich as lunch that day. Then when the boys came, we set off and reached CJ in no time. Reaching there, we saw Lilian and Michelle. Lilian came to appeal too. A total of 4 of us appeal - Yh, Justin, Lilian and me. We filled up the application form and photocopied some documents to support what we had written on the form.

The next day morning, Tuesday, I received a call from CJ. At that time, without the call, i would be still sleeping. So when i received that call, i thought it was a dream. i called Yh to ask if he received any call but don't have. So i went to CJ alone. Waiting and waiting, butterflies began to appear in my stomach, fluttering. Then later, i saw Lilian too. She was called down for an interview too. Then we started to have a little chat and Maye came to appeal out.

Then it was my turn for the interview. The Principal, Brother Paul Rogers, is a very big and English guy. He was very fatherly and addressed us as 'dear'. He looked at my application form and started asking about Council and so i told him. When i told him about the buzz stop project, he seemed to be quite amazed. Then he looked at my results. A1 for Chinese and so he asked if i speak Chinese at home and i answered yes. Then later he asked again if i speak Chinese all the time and i answered him yes again. Then he looked at my PSLE score and said, " 244, quite a strong score" and asked what's the subject that i had gotten A* and i told him Chinese again. So there was a moment of diaoz or dotz...

After the interview, he handed me and form and took me in to CJ. Phew!!! Soon after me, was Lilian. Lilian had a success appeal too, so that is an early Christmas present for us. Today, Pat, yitong, Yi Yu, Jae-win and me went to SRJC. Firstly, i had to inform them that i had to appeal out. Secondly, to see the surrounding or environment. Then we set off to CJ again with also 2 purpose. Firstly, i had to returned the second portion of form to CJ. Secondly, the rest of them were appealing. So that's the end of the few days. =)

Lalala

Forget to tell you guys , there's a lecturer, Mr Kong, in CLS. The way he talks is like reading a story book or rather taking an oral. His articulation is 'perfect' and he can express himself with various tones. He loves to speak the last syllabus of the word with a higher tone and tends to 'pull' it.

Well, this few days, i didn't went for SP. Wednesday was my gram birthday and Thursday, sleeping at 3, too lazy and tired to wake up. So today is the last day. It was fun! There's an 'Amazing Duck Race' ( because racing in both land and water). We we had to ran round looking for items we want and to fill in the blank boxes so as to have a better understanding of the school. Then we had t6he chair game and the noodle game. The chair game is very common. Everyone squeeze in a few chairs and starts to move to the finish line. The noodle game objective is to overcome obstacles without braking the noodle we're holding.

Then the water games. One is pretty lame. Filling up the 1.5 litre bottle with swimming pool water using only straws. The next game is to carry 3 person across the swimming pool without getting wet. It was lucky that we had Jeoven, he was the one that completes almost every task with such a competition spirit. Perhaps it was because he is a track and field athlete. He kind of remind me of Mr Tee. He speaks with fluent and pro English and also he is a gentleman. But Alicia said that he did not let her remind of Mr Tee because her heart was securely inside while when she sees Mr Tee, her 'heart goes all out to him". Haha =)

In there, i also make quite a few friends. The previous posts had no photo but this post sure have. But you may be a bit disappointed. There's something wrong with the Nokia software programme, thus i cannot cannect to the computer and the files stored in my phone memory cannot be moved to the external memory card...Haiz... my computer is having serious problem. Somehow, it just don't like the video card. Guess that, I'll have spend a sum of money on that or else the computer will keep restarting non-stop and i cannot use MSN... =(
* Too bad... The computer refused to uplaod the image....

Chemical Life Science

Day 3 was 'M n M' department (MAnufacturing and Mechanical Engineering) The best thing was to visit the RASF Mueseum. The planes were gorgeous and i like the Apache (long bow) best. That's an attacking helicopter with a little radar at its rotary baldes.

Today was very fun. We went to the Chemical Life Science and we attended a food technology course and we got to make our own jam. Guess what flavours it is... It's orange! It was quite a funtime. We sliced orange, made orange puree, boiling and we got to know peptin ( purpose to solidify jam). The end product of our jam was marvellous. Sweet, fresh and orangey.

The second half of the day, we attended aquaculture (breeding of fish). At there the doctor showed us the different type of guppies and singapore is making millions by exporting them. Each of us got a type of the guppies with a male and female each and we looked at them using the mircoscope to see the different pigments in the fins and tails.

Later, the doctor even perform a cersarian on a pregnant guppy and indeed, the bebies came out swimming. That was my first time seeing a fish on surgery, We also get to see different stages of the baby guppies from they are forming to their well-developed form. It was indeed a funa nd enriching day, getting hands on and trying new stuffs.

=Day 2=

Today is the day 2 of the CFP. In the morning, there was a train distruption from Sambawang to Yishun. I could sense a bit of chaos in the MRT stations. I hope it is not someone wanting to commit suicide. If that's the case, even the person die, he is very unconsiderate, commiting suicide at such a busy place and at the peak time. I still haven't know the root of the cause.

Today was quite fun, at least better than yesterday. Today, we went to SMA ( singapore maritime academy). We visited the stimulation rooms - the bridge ( the place where captains are) and the engine room ( place where engineers are). In a ship, the biggest is the captain and the one following next is the chief engineer. From the lecturer, a ship, sized of 5 football fields, it will need 7000 personnels, while a cargo ship of the same size need only 22 crew memebers with 4 navigation offiers, engineers and sea men. Maritime engineers can repair things ranging from engines to even toilet, any thing that is spoilt on the vessel

We went for a speed boat ride, unfortuantely, we have chosen a boat with a lousyengine. In the end, we watched others having splashed with seawater, with their butts hurting while going against the waves while we just sat there enjoy the sea breeze. We also take a look on how life rescue boats are launched and how is the process carry out. Overall, it is quite interesting as these are things i never experienced before. Heard that we'll be going on field trip tomorrow, hope it will be fun.

Argh, something happpens to blogger, there isn't any formatting buttons! So if there's any stupid typo error, please forgive me. Today is the 1st day of the SP CFP. It was quite boring actially. For the 1st half of the day, the person kept talking all the way. So boring and the auditorium was so cold. For the 2nd half of the day, it was team building games. It's the same old thing like entanglement, humam alphabeat. Haizzz... Hope tomorrow will be a better day.

Sianzation

After the examinations and all the fun, my life is in a mess and ultra boring. Sleep late, wake up late, everyday eat, sleep, play and slack. Isn't that kind of lifestyle abit too boring.

Well, thses fre days, out of bordem, i've read the 36 Strageties which includes the skill for confrontation, attacking and 4 other more. The one that i like most is "xiao li chang dao" - hiding a dagger behind the smile. That was how the strategy came about and i think it is so 'jue'... so cool. Haha! Well, every strategy is very cruel.

Hide Your Dagger Behind a Smile

Charm and ingratiate yourself to your enemy. When you have gained his trust, you move against him in secret.

Warring States Era China

The king of Wei sent a beautiful courtesan to the king of Chu who took great delight in the new girl. His queen, Zheng Xiu, knowing how fond the king was of his new woman, treated the newcomer as a sister supplying her with gifts and treasures and whatever she needed. The king hearing of this summoned his queen and said: AA woman serves a man with her beauty and thus jealousy is a part of her very nature. Yet you, knowing how much the new woman pleases me, have treated her more kindly than I have myself. These actions are those of a child to her parents or a minister to his ruler, how unexpected it is to find this in a queen to her husband." The queen thus knew that her husband did not suspect her of jealousy. When she next met with the new girl the queen told her: "His majesty is much taken with your beauty but he dislikes the shape of your nose. When next you serve him be sure to cover it with your hand." Grateful for the advice, when she next served the king this is what she did.

The next day the king asked his queen: "The new woman covers her nose when she is with me. Do you know why?"

"I know." replied the queen.

"Well then no matter how unpleasant you must tell me the reason."

"It seems she does not like the way your majesty smells."

"The shrew!" cried the king.

In a rage the king ordered that the unfortunate girl's nose be cut off.

That's the story, i want to share. Don't you think that is so marvellous?
