Yea! Back from Kahang le. In kahang everything is organic. Organic brown rice, organic duck, organic vegetable, organic fishes, organic dragon fruit and so we got organic meals for the 6 days we were there.
The weather there is kind of funny. The wind there blew from 7am to 7pm and for the rest of the time, there was not wind at all. If it rains, it either rains for a few minutes or it will rain fro hours non stop. I was so afraid that we may be trap in flood as the 5th and last day was raining throughout.
There were a lot of stories in Kahang that i wish to say, however i do not know how to start. If i start from day 1, then probably, you will be reading blog post of more than a few thousand words long.
In this trip, i know that i belong to water. There is a quiz which we takes and see which of the following element we belong to and which element (earth, air, water, fire) is the strongest and weakest. Water are the people that put other before himself. However, he maybe too nice and softhearted and get pushover at a times. The next element is fire. Fire people are the people who are always enthusiastic and will bring fun to others. However, they will get distracted to easily. Following next is air. Air people are very particular about accuracy and they are the precise people and earth is the firm people.
As water took over for the past 2 days as it rain like hell, there were a lot of insects taking shelter. We abandoned our tents on the 5th day because most people tents were flooded. As we unpitched the tents today, there were a lot of creepy crawlies. eileen and my tent is on a higher ground level and unfortunately there was a ants' nest a few a steps away from our tents. Since their original nest was in water they started coming towards our tents and the ants were very nice to build a dike around our tent. They are also very nice to build their new nest under our tents. So as we unpitched, we have to swipe away all the ants and watch where we are stepping on. Not only we have ants as visitors, we have visitors of size 1mm to about 8 cm.
Then at the last night, the whole camp blackout. What a new experience indeed. It is really very dark that one cannot see their hands. As we were trapped in the dark, i felt so unsecured. I felt lost. I suddenly don;t know what is around me and fluttering of insects can be heard. in kahang, the insect can go easily up to 10cm or so. For the first time, i am really annoyed by insects and i juts hope that they don;t come near me. One could easily says that we could switch on the torch light. However, switching on the torch light, more insects will come to you as they are attracted to light. It was really the moments of silence and total darkness.
In this trip, it was my first time that i felt homesick as i missed the ones around me. I never had that kind of feeling before and this felt awfully terrible. This trip has also given me a tanner skin and on my face, there is a rim of lighter skin tone where my spec frame is. Hence i looked like a swimmer just that the skin around the eyes are are tanned as well. The weather there is either super hot or super cold if one is in the open space. I'm just so glad to be back in Singapore. =)
Coming back to Singapore also meaning back to work. I still have to return to school tomorrow and start SVA from scratch and the dateline is on the 8th of Dec which means i only have one day to complete since school is not going to opened on Saturday. I bet tomorrow will be an ultra busy day.
