My new monitor
Right now, it is a very hot weather. Mercilessly hot.
On Friday, it is sports carnival. It was held at CCAB. I reached the bus stop at 0615, it was pitch dark everywhere. I nearly got lost, but luckily, WeiXiang and Daemien came by and we 3 found our way. Upon reaching there, it is still very early so we went for breakfast at the 24h Prata House. By the way, we finish our breakfast, the sound system had already been setup.
The events that started off first was track events. Joshua brought his siren along and everyone was having so much fun especially using it to tease Clarrise and Earnest ( both no. 69 when everyone in their class has a different no.). I think the teacher race is the most interesting race. A lot of funny ways that the teachers used to run.
As the track events were over. It is the starting of games events. I played in the frisby game and we trashed the 1st 2 teams, with 6-0, 3-0, thus we were in the quarter finals without playing the 3rd match. As we entered quarter finals, the game got tougher and we lost the 1st game to T19. This was not a good sign as we had to compete against T33, the ODAC class which is the power house for frisby. That game, we were totally owned by T33, with a score of 10-0 if i am not wrong. Because of fribsy, i got elbowed into my cheek bone and got a really bad brusie at my eye socket there. It just seemed as if i was punched by someone. Till today, the bruise has not gone yet.
After the sports carnival ended, we dismantled the equipment and loaded it into Mr Tay's car, then we proceed to Pastamania for lunch with Rachael, Jeanette, Camillus and Joshua. It was my first time , but the pasta i ordered did not taste as nice as i expected. I got sick of it eventually. After lunch, it was supposed that I will go check out the different types of monitors in Sim Lim Square (sls) with Joshua, and i will buy it the next day. Then my mother came along and so Joshua went home. After shopping for 2 hours, we still did not buy anything because there are too many choices and i am a noob at those computer stuffs.
Thus the next day, i went down to sls again with Joshua as my consultant. The world is a very a very small place and i met Joshua's parents there shopping with his dad's Swiss client. Soon i got a Samsung 19" Black LCD Monitor at the price of $288. A good and reasonable price.
Well, the monitor including the box is half of my size and it was rather heavy especially i was having muscle aches from the previous day after carrying the coils of wires. So very gentlemanly, Joshua helped me to carry it. He was my Hercules of the day. After buying my new monitor, we went to icekimo for some ice cream before going home. I reached Bradell MRT at about 620pm and my bro was nagging why did i need to take so long just to buy a monitor. He was even more long-winded than my mother. What caused him to nag like hell, is because he can't wait to assemble his new monitor so that he could start his Gunbound fast.
Now, my brother is really addicted to Joshua's PSP. Because of its alluring charm, my bro can wake up at 0630 just to play it when during normal school days, he could not even wake up. Well, remember, my previous post, i mentioned about Blackie, that's Joshua's PSP. I dared not let my brother knows because he still have one more paper to go at that time and if i had let him know, the consequences will be unbearable, i can imagine it. I become a guest blogger for Joshua's Space yesterday. I wrote a lot of crap ( crabs, lobsters, prawns) and it ended up in one full page. Haha!
My new monitor really rocks the world. LCD, flat and space-saving. Nice coloration. Cool Graphics! But without joshua's help, i think i would have been "flattened" by it. LOL!!! =) H1 exam is next week. I really got to start mugging lioaz, at least i hope to get at least a pass for every subject especially for chemistry and GP. All the best to all those doing their revision and may everyone aced their respective subject.
