Teachers' Day

Today is Teachers' Day, a day when we get to thank all our teachers from the bottom of our hearts and to be forgiven for our naughty acts in class. In a blink of an eye, 3 years have passed. This will be my last year celebrating this occasion in secondary school and in a few more week, I'll be graduating. Time just flies unknowingly.

Today celebration theme is going retro and some performances are related to it with those a-go-go dance and so on. It really reminds me of the 60s. There is a performance that made my tears welled in my eyes. It's not the performance that it's touching, but it just bring back some of my memories. The performers ( our great teachers) sang " At the Top of the World" . I still remembers vividly, when the song was sung in my P6 year.

That morning, my hamster was very sick, but I couldn't accompany it and I had to go to school. When I reached school, a thunderstorm came, and it poured heavily. That day, we had our usual singing and when we were sing " At the Top of the World ". Somehow, I just had a feeling that my ham-ham was leaving me. At that moment, my heart ached and tears just went streaming down. I tried to hide myself and just prayed that my hamster would be alright.

Then, when I reached home, my ham-ham was not there anymore. I knew what had happened. He had went to the land of paradise, a place full of sunflower seeds with no worries and illness. That day, I did not have the energy to do anything and i really missed him a lot.

So when I heard that song today with raining patting onto the ceiling, I just couldn't help to think of my ham-ham again as we had spent many moments together. He will have a place in my heart and I will never forget him.

Okay, let's talk about something that is happy. We had a celebration today and I really thank all the committee member, especially sook han, for arranging everything. I really have a lot of fun. The choco-mint cake was the nicest of all. Yum yum...

Once again I wish every teacher a happy teacher and those whose birthday falls on 1st Sept( my nephew, Jaey, and my online friend Anson).
